GHG launches one of the largest outpatient and diagnostic centres in Georgia

Georgia Healthcare Group PLC (the "Group" or “GHG”) announces that it has today launched one of the largest outpatient and diagnostic centres in Georgia (the “Centre”). The Centre is part of Deka hospital (“Deka”) and is the first department launched at Deka since the start of its renovation in January 2016. The launch of the Centre is one month ahead of schedule, with the full renovation of the 310-bed Deka hospital expected to be completed in May 2017.

Equipped with advanced medical equipment, the Centre will cater to all age groups and will provide a comprehensive range of diagnostic and outpatient services, including radiology, general practitioner and specialist physician consultations, imaging and functional diagnostics, as well as clinical, biochemical and serological laboratory tests.

“I am delighted to announce the completion of the first phase of renovation of Deka hospital and the launch of the flagship diagnostic and ambulatory centre in Georgia. We expect the leading physicians for paediatric and radiology services at the Centre, who have recently been recruited from competitor clinics, will play a key role in developing the Centre, and this is the first step in developing Deka into a flagship multi-profile hospital in a prime location in Tbilisi,” commented Nikoloz Gamkrelidze, CEO of Georgia Healthcare Group.
